Family Programs
Addictions, eating disorders,
mood disorders and trauma recovery are issues that affect the
entire family. It is our hope that as you begin your recovery, your
family will also enter the healing process. Who is part of “the
family?” Anyone who loves and supports a patient in treatment.
At Wekiva Springs, our Family Program is a vital part of our
clinical treatment process – a dramatic and revealing experience
conducted on campus that often leads to new and healthier life-long
relationships.
The intensive Wekiva Springs Family Program is designed to give
family members a chance to understand the illness, its impact on
the family system and the roles they play in both the illness and
the recovery process. With the whole family working together on
these issues, the patient’s chance for success improves
dramatically.
The Family Program also improves the chance of breaking the cycle
of unhealthy behaviors that are often passed down through
generations. During the treatment process, both patient and family
members receive recommendations for aftercare based on their
individual needs.
