Adolescents

In January 2007, Wekiva Springs responded to the requests of professional referral sources by opening an adolescent program for girls ages 11-17. In order to help these young women recover from conditions such as eating disorders, emotional problems, or substance abuse issues. We now provide the following:

 

  • Small groups so that these young women can receive customized treatment and close supervision
  • School on-site so that patients can keep up with their academic pursuits while in treatment
  • Physicians and psychologists who are Board Certified in adolescent psychiatry, eating disorders and addictionology.
  • A strong family-centered approach to treatment


Our highly structured adolescent programs (for youth ages 11 to 17) utilize a Multidisciplinary Team approach designed to provide the highest level of direct patient care possible, including physical, social, spiritual, medical and psychotherapeutic treatment interventions. The holistic approach of our highly skilled and compassionate staff at Wekiva Springs promotes long-term wellness of the young woman’s body, mind and spirit.
